Mommy's Day Off

Yesterday Mommy didn't have to work so my cousins came and stayed with us again since they didn't have school. I have so much fun with them! They really look out for me since I'm so little, and when I get bigger they can protect me. They played with me in my exersaucer. I think they might have had more fun playing in it than I did, but they won't admit it.

After we did that Connor and Carson wanted Mommy to take some pictures of me and them. So, I thought that I'd give them something to laugh about with my silly faces! Hey, they asked for it.


Then it was bath time! I sure do love taking baths. I'm getting so big, too. I lay in the bath tub and kick and splash water all over the place. I have 2 favorite things to do in the bath tub. The first one is play with my rubber ducky. His name is Duckie. Go figure.

And the second thing that I love to do in the bath tub is play with my cup. I like to pretend that I'm drinking water out of it. And chew on it.

Bath time is so much fun.

By the end of the night I was sleepy and tired of having my picture taken. Please Mom, no more.

Better than the rice

Last night I tried something new, baby oatmeal! It was soooooooo yummy - much better than the rice cereal! I ate all of it, too! I would always have some of the rice cereal left over, but not the oatmeal. I could've probably eaten more but Mommy thought that I had plenty. Here is my first bite!

Mommy says that I'm going to be in gymnastics just like her. So I thought that I could practice streatching out in my high chair. Might as well, right?


Man this is messy, I think I got some in my eye!

Yep. Now it's on my head.

I can't wait to try more food! Don't worry, I'll be back.

Photo shoot

Mom decided that she wanted to have a photo shoot with me. Really? Just kidding, I didn't mind hamming it up for the camera! I tried on my new dress from Baby Gap. I'm going to be wearing it when I meet Santa Claus for the first time in a couple weeks, I can't wait!






Oh, and of course I had to give her atleast one of my usual poses - my hands in my mouth!

I really think that Mom & Dad should get me into modeling.

My weekend

What another busy weekend! Friday night my cousins Connor & Carson came over to stay. They stayed all weekend with sissy and I and we had so much fun! They didn't get here until late Friday night and I was already sleeping by the time they showed up. Saturday morning we got up and went to the store. We had to get me some more diapees and formula. After that we dropped off Carson at his friends birthday party. Then Mommy, Daddy, Connor, sissy and I went to sissy's basketball game. She did so good, Connor and I sat on the sidelines and cheered for her!

OK, he cheered for her and I played with my rings. It's funny, this is the cheapest toy I own, but it is still my favorite. After sissy's game we went and picked up Carson and Mommy & Daddy took us all bowling! I didn't get to bowl since I'm still a little peanut but I loved to watch everybody. Here I am posing for pictures while the other kids are bowling!


Then I started to get very sleepy.

We went home and I took a nap. While I was napping, the other kids made cookies! Well, they ate the dough and Mommy made the cookies.

Then we popped some popcorn and all relaxed on the couch for a movie. We watched "Kicking and Screaming." Connor and Carson love to play with me. They love to make me laugh! They sure are silly.


Sunday morning we got up and went to breakfast at "The Original Pancake House." Then we just relaxed the rest of the day and watched the Cowboys win yet another game! Go Dallas! I laid on the floor and played with Mommy and watched the game. I really do love to watch football! Sissy also read me a bedtime story. I love when she reads to me.

I sure did have a busy, but fun weekend.

More fun stuff

I'm trying to keep you updated with all of the new fun things that I get and try! Here is another pair of Baby Legs from Granda Sharon. Whenever I wear a new pair, you can be sure you will see them too!

You can even wear them while you play video games!

And I can't forget my new blankie that my Mommy made me. Yes, she made it. Well, she bought the fabric but put it all together. She made one for sissy and me. Here they are! Oh, and before you start to wonder why mine is John Deere, here is the reason. My Mommy's best friend, Leanne, works for a company that sells John Deere tractors to other companies. She got me some fun John Deere toys and as soon as I saw this I told Mommy that this has to be the fabric for my blankie. Plus, it's so soft!


I also got to try popsicles and I looooooove them! This kind is banana and it is super yummy. I think they are my new favorite thing.

And another fun thing that I finally started enjoying is my "tummy time." Usually I'm not a big fan of it, I used to just lay there and suck on my hands. Like this:


But since Mommy got a new mirror and put it in front of me, I love to look at myself in it. Now I will actually hold my head up like you are supposed to do during tummy time. Who is that pretty girl in the mirror?

I sure have tried out a lot of my fun new things! I'm sure there will be more to come.

Finally, some real food

Last night was a big night for me. I had cereal for the first time! It's about time Mom & Dad. I had been trying to drop them hints that I'm ready for the cereal and they finally got the point. When they would eat their food I would follow the spoon or fork from the plate to their mouth. Over and over. They didn't get the hint. I would also try and grab their plates and food. Still, nothing. Mom even let me have some of her popsicle which I LOVED. I thought that this may do the trick but it didn't. Finally last night they set me in my new high chair for some cereal! The high chair is a little big still, the shoulder straps are way higher than my actual shoulders, but that's OK! And here it is, my first picture of getting cereal. As you can tell I am anxiously awaiting!

Then the moment that I had been waiting for... the first taste of it. I wasn't too sure what to think at first...


But then I really enjoyed it!

Mom wasn't shoveling the food in fast enough though, I was starved! It was around 6:30pm and I hadn't eaten since 2pm! Between bites I was yelling at Mom telling her to hurry up! Then I finally told her to just give me the bowl!

And actually, while you are at it, give me the spoon, too!! I can do it myself!

Then I started to get full. I didn't have anymore room left in my belly.

And sleepy.

It had been awhile since my last nap and it was time for my evening one. But I had to clean up before I got out of my high chair.

There! I think I got it all!

I had a great experience with my first bowl of cereal and it was so yummy! Mommy kept saying how impressed she was with me. I didn't even really try to spit the cereal back out at her, I just wanted to eat it all! I'm so glad Mom & Dad finally got the hint that I was ready. Afterall, I really just needed them to get it ready for me. I could do the rest!
