My favorite Christmas present

is so comfy, I fell asleep in it.

Merry Christmas!

So, it's a few days late but we have had such a busy week!!! Grandma Sue, Aunt Heather, Emilia, Ellie, Jackson and Chase all came into town on Christmas night to visit us!! We haven't seen them in months so it was great to see them all. I have changed so much since the last visit, they hardly recognized me.

Sissy and I had a great Christmas, Santa was very good to us this year. The night before, we left Santa some milk and cookies. We also left some carrots for the reindeer (since they can't have chocolate) Outside under the door mat we left a key for Santa as well. When we woke up in the morning, we saw that he had left the key on the table for us, and ate some of the food!!!

We decided to sleep in for Mommy and Daddy - we didn't get up until about 7:45am. Sissy and I both woke up about the same time. Mommy, Daddy, and sissy came into my room to wish me a Merry Christmas and then we all went downstairs. Under our pretty tree was a comfy purple chair for me (probably my favorite gift), a play kitchen (which makes a pretty close second place), a big doll house from Grandma Sharon for me and sissy, and tons of presents!!

Next year apparently I will have a baby brother or baby sister when it's Christmas time. That should be interesting :)

No thank you, Santa

Over the weekend I went with my cousins over to their friends house. Guess who showed up? Santa!! I think you can tell by the picture that I'm not a fan - yet.

That's me, trying to escape.

Again. Maybe next year.

Maybe next year

This morning Mommy and Daddy took sissy and I to Mommy's work for "Breakfast with Santa". I was excited to tell him what I wanted for Christmas. I came close...

Maybe next year I will be able to tell him what I want.

Practicing for Christmas

When we were up at Grandma Sharon's last week for Thanksgiving she wrapped up some toys around the house and had me practice opening them for Christmas! One of the gifts was a laughing Elmo. We left it up there and Grandma sent it with some other things Mommy left and wrapped it up again for me! It was like I never even opened it the first time!

The one thing I said I'd never do

buy my child cartoon character shoes. She LOVES Elmo though and they are New Balance so they are in style... so I let it slide this time.

Christmas 2008

Sissy and I have been feeling a little neglected since Mommy has been taking pictures of everybody else and their family and kids, so today it was all about us. We decided to have a go for our Christmas pictures. We had a lot of fun... as I think you can see.

Fun at the gym

This afternoon Mommy, Daddy, sissy, and I went to see my cousin Carson play basketball. Mommy thought it'd be a good idea to wake me up from my nap and take me - I wasn't a happy camper. That's OK though. I still looked pretty cute trying to eat my Kix.

Here is sissy, she got her hair cut last week - doesn't it look cute?!

Mommy said that she has been slacking on taking pictures of me and she promises to try and do better. She has been taking pictures of other people instead - I guess they pay her to do it and I don't so I understand. It has been weird though not seeing the camera as much.

Tomorrow we are going to try and take our Christmas pictures!

Talking up a storm

Mommy has been such a slacker at taking my pictures and updating my blog, so tonight she decided to capture the real thing.

My first pig tails

Seriously, how cute am I?

It lasted about 10 minutes, then I ripped one side out on the way to trick or treating.

Real quick

A few pictures from trick or treating! Mommy hasn't had time to upload most of them, but here are a couple. It's not the typical Halloween costume for a toddler, but I must admit that it's pretty original. And even though Mommy hates spiders, she thought I was the cutest one :)

Happy Halloween!

Tonight we are going trick or treating with our cousins Connor & Carson! They are going to be dressed up in Star Wars costumes. Sissy is going to be Glinda from The Wizard of Oz and I am going to be a scary spider :)

Here is a flashback from last year though.

New pics to come later :)

What's new with me?

Let's see... I have TWO new teeth that have come in. One on the bottom and another one on the top. It looks like there is more to come, and I can feel them. Once in awhile I will wake up in the middle of the night and Mommy will come find me laying in my crib crying and chewing on my hands. I'll be glad when all of my teeth are finally in. I'm also talking a lot! I will say Mama, Dada, Sissy, ball, all done, more, please, cheese, what's that, uh oh, baby, bye bye, thank you - and more! Mommy & Daddy love the stage that I'm in and say that I'm a lot of fun :) Last week Mommy was playing with her camera (imagine that) outside and got some pictures of me in my cute sweater. She has been busy taking pictures of other people lately but she still never neglects my picture taking time.

This is what I do when Mommy says "Touchdown!"

Too bad the Cowboys haven't seen too many of those lately. Maybe next week.

Sleepy girl

With George #1, #2, and #3.

We're still here

I have been sick the past couple weeks with a cough that I just can't get rid of! Mommy & Daddy (and sissy) have to give me a nebulizer at night. I must admit, I'm not the biggest fan of it. OK, so last night I hated it and cried - but it is supposed to make me feel better.

Last night Mommy took some pictures of me so she could update my blog finally!

Oh, and she is just starting up her new photography business - check out her new Photo blog here!

Our Trip (finally!)

Mommy wanted to tell you all about our trip, so here she is.

"What a blast! We had such a great time at Disney with the kids, they were very good for us. We left last Wednesday night around 7:40pm. I thought Sophia might sleep a little bit on the place since she usually is in bed by 8pm nowadays. Wrong. Which was fine. There was a little boy in front of us, and a little girl behind us that she played with. Or annoyed, one of the two. She kept poking her hands through the seats to both of them and would touch their hands. The little girls parents behind us loved Sophia and was asking about her. The Mom even offered to take Sophia back with them so she could watch the movie with the little girl. She doesn't know that she doesn't sit still for very long :)

We got to hotel and unpacked some things and just relaxed - we knew we were going to be up early on Thursday for Magic Kingdom.

Thursday:
We got up around 7a and went and got Sophia some breakfast and brought it back to the hotel. We got everybody around and then boarded the bus for the Magic Kingdom! We got there and I had forgotten just how beautiful it is there. It's such a happy place :) And the park is so clean. I told Brian that you have to go there as an "adult" so you can appreciate it. We started off with Splash Mountain - Brian took Logan and Carson. After about 5 minutes they came back, Logan crying, she didn't want to go on it. So he took Carson and we watched them. Sophia was too little for this ride, however she did do most of the rides (all of them that she could.) She rode the Dumbo ride, It's A Small World, Peter Pan, Aladdin's Magic Carpet ride, Haunted Mansion (she kept waiving to the ghosts), Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Carribean, the cars where kids can drive- Logan drove and Sophia and I rode along, Mickey's 3D Orchestra, along with some others. She liked most of them, unless they were intruding in her nap time then she wasn't the biggest fan (ex. Dumbo).

Sophia took a nap everyday about lunch time, for about an hour, and then she was good to go for the rest of the evening. We were gone until after 9p, it made for a long day, but it was a lot of fun.

FRIDAY:
We got up around 8a and went to Animal Kingdom. We got to go on a safari and see elephants, giraffes, lions, monkeys and all sorts of animals!! The coolest animal we saw were the big gorillas. They looked pretty scary (there are pics of them in the link below). We spent most of the day here, until about 3:30pm and then headed back to the hotel. I met a couple of friends with their kids at Downtown Disney and Brian took Logan and Carson to Hollywood Studios. Let me tell you, it was quite a trip on the bus to Downtown Disney. I was by myself remember, with Sophia, a stroller (which I had to open and close to get on the bus), a diaper bag, camera bag, Sophia's blanket, and George. A gentleman gave me his seat on the bus (so nice) and it started off OK... then Sophia got to throwing her paci on the ground, hitting and slapping, pouting (she was tired), and being a grump butt. The bus ride was a good 25 minutes which seemed like 5 hours. We finally made it there though and had a good time.

SATURDAY:
We went back to Magic Kingdom and rode some of the rides we didn't on Thursday. And best of all, we got Logan on Space Mountain. I was going to take Carson on it and then she said she was going to go. We thought, "Yeah, right." This was coming from the girl that wigged out on Splash Mountain. So I took her instead of Carson before she changed her mind... she LOVED it!! She went on it again with Brian and Carson right after that. THEN we got her to go on Splash Mountain - again, LOVED it. And lastly, Thunder Mountail Railroad (roller coaster) and LOVED that, too! That's my girl :) Now I have my roller coaster buddy since Brian doesn't like that kind of things usually. Although he did go on Space Mountain and a new ride at Animal Kingdom, so I am proud of him for that.

SUNDAY:
We were up at 4:15am, the bus left for the airport at 5am. Sophia slept the first half of the flight and then was a terror the second half - but we expected it since she was SO AWESOME (she got the star MVP of the trip!) the rest of the trip. So we laughed it off. We got home and her and I took a 3.5 hour nap. It was greatly needed.

It was an awesome trip, but it was good to be back home in our own beds. Sophia agreed...

OH!! I almost forgot the BEST part of the trip. Thursday night - the Spectro-Magic parade. It was the best!! It was a parade at night, everything was all lit up. The kids were in AWE. I couldn't get enough of just sitting there watching them. Logan's eyes lit up and so did Sophia's. Sophia sat quietly and watched all of the lights... every once in awhile she was say something (that sounded Chinese) but I'm sure she knew what she was trying to say. She waved to all of the characters - Mickey, Donald, Ariel, Snow White. It made me a little teary eyed watching the kids being so happy."

Disney 2008

We are now back from our trip to Walt Disney World!! It was so much fun but it's also nice to be back home (I missed sleeping in my crib!) Mommy said she will post all about the trip later. In the mean time, here are some pictures for you to check out.

Halloween Help

Mommy can't decide what to dress me up in for Halloween. As you know, she was going to dress me up in a monkey costume. She loves it and it's very cute, but she is afraid that it will be too hard for me to walk around in. We will be trick or treating with sissy and my cousins so we will be walking around a lot. Plus I hate having things on my head, and the determined child I am, I might not enjoy that too much. So, instead she was thinking about this instead:

Thoughts? It's more "big girl". I know I'm still a baby, kind of, but I'm just not sure the monkey is the best costume for me. Even though Mommy still thinks it's super cute, she is just looking out for me.

Let me know what you think!!

Miss Jennifer took this video at daycare last week.

Keep your eye on me :)

And if that doesn't bring up the video, click here. It is DEFINITELY worth it!!

Mommy likes to play this game with me

Where's your belly?

There it is!

Where's your nose?

There it is! Or, almost is. Whenever Mommy asks me where my nose is, this is what I do. Or this.

What? You didn't know that your "nose" means putting your finger in your mouth??

Oops

I didn't see the big stick there.

Eh, get up and brush it off...
