It was bound to happen

I got my first ear infection.

Nothing to be excited about (I don't think) but Mommy was excited. Only because she knew something was wrong with me but didn't know what. Now she knows. Happy early birthday to her (her birthday is tomorrow!!) I am now on an antibiotic and that should kick in in the next 24-48 hours.

I'm sure everybody will be glad when I'm back to myself 100%.

The other day I was at home with Mommy & sissy and we were all eating popsicles. I love them soooo much, and they feel so good on my teeth, too!

Grape is good, too. I was even nice and shared it with sissy.

Hopefully back to normal

After a very busy weekend with Grandma Sharon, sissy, and my cousins, I finally slept without waking up last night!! Mommy was sooooooooo glad, so was Daddy.

Friday night I was up a lot, Saturday night I was up from 2a-4:30a, Mommy didn't like that. I was super cranky yesterday - I was extremely tired from the busy weekend and my belly was hurting. I had bad gas all day yesterday so Mommy gave me some gas drops and I didn't wake up once.

Maybe it was a total coincidence. Either way, I slept.

A little better

Well, I am feeling a little better now. Yesterday I was home with Daddy and sissy and I was pretty normal - playing etc. Last night I got another fever (101.1) and was not motivated to do anything for a couple of hours. Then my fever broke and I was walking around and playing again. Mommy & Daddy got a little more sleep last night, they didn't have to sit up with me while I was awake. However, I did wake up about 5 or 6 times... maybe "wake up" aren't the right words. I would cry and then Mommy would come it and give my paci to me (if I couldn't find one of the 6 that were in my crib) turned on my crib soother

and then I was just fine. Then I would sleep for a bit, and repeat the steps above. It's better than staying up for 2 hours though at a time :) I really do love that crib soother though. If you know of anybody that has a baby or is having a baby, I would definitely recommend this. Actually, I think Mommy would recommend it more - she even takes it when we travel!!

Grandma Sharon came last night, I was so excited to see her when I woke up today! She got to see me walk and spend a lot of time with me and sissy.

It should be a good day, let's just hope that nasty fever doesn't come back tonight!

Rough night

So I thought that I was going to be in the clear from feeling bad. I felt pretty good yesterday and was able to play and do things I usually do. I wasn't myself 100% but I was moving around which was good! Last night I went to bed and woke up at midnight crying. I had gotten sick all over in my crib and Mommy & Daddy came to my rescue. Mommy took me and changed me while Daddy cleaned up the crib (sorry Daddy!) I had another fever of 101.5 and I was really hot. I was up with Mommy from then until 2a. I fell asleep and then was up again around 3a. Mommy told Daddy he had to take this shift, she was exhausted from being up earlier and the entire night before. I woke up again around 6a and hung out with Mommy, my fever had gone down to around 99.5. Then I fell asleep again in my crib... I hope I'm feeling better later on today. I'm tired of being sick.

Fun with the water table

Grandma Sharon brought me this water table when she came to my birthday party. She got it from some of Grandpa Ray's family, and I was able to test it out the other night!

I started out in my pants, tank top, and shoes.

Then my shirt came off, I was getting too wet.

I had a lot of fun splashing in the water though!

Under the weather

Mommy got a call from daycare yesterday around 3pm, Miss Jennifer took my temperature after my afternoon nap and it was 101.5. Daddy picked me up and when Mommy got home I was very happy and normal!! Mommy thought it was my teeth. Later on I started feeling very bad and had no energy at all.

I sat with Mommy for 2.5 hours (minus the time Daddy held me while Mommy ate) I finally went to bed about 10p and was up again around midnight. Mommy got up with me and sat with me until about 2a. I was very hot and had a fever again. Mommy gave me some medicine to help the fever. I laid back down in my crib for about an hour and then woke up again around 3a. Mommy laid with me on the couch until a little before 5a. This time my fever had broke and I was talking a little and actually moving, something I hadn't done all night. She put me back in my crib and I slept until after 9a. I woke up and felt a lot better. I got to take a bath and play with sissy!

Then Mommy and sissy took me to the doctors for my 1 year appointment. I was supposed to get 2 shots but since I didn't feel well they are going to wait a couple of weeks to do that. Here are my 1 year stats though!

18 lbs, 5 oz (5th percentile) I'm such a little peanut. Hence the name of this blog :)
28 inches (10th percentile) I'm such a shorty!

The doctor said I am growing well. Mommy told her that I eat like a horse so there wasn't any concern at all of me not eating or drinking enough!! I fell asleep in the way home in the car. I was a sleepy bear.

Let's hope that fever doesn't come back!! Grandma Sharon is coming to visit us on Friday and staying until Saturday - I can't wait for her to see me walk!!

The best laugh

Mommy and I were playing before bed tonight and she was making me laugh so much! I have a plastic egg and she was putting it in her mouth and spitting it at me - it was so funny!! I was laughing so hard!! Some of you may think, "That's mean!", but it's not, I love it! I would laugh the hardest when she hit me in my face with it!

Here I am later Friday night practicing more walking! Check me out in my jammies, which are a little long. Please don't mind my toys everywhere and my crazy hair do. Mommy gave me a bath and then her, Daddy, and I went for a walk... this is the wind blown look.

Proof

Here it is, the first video of me walking!! This was on Friday night, when I first really started to take a lot of steps. I'm a little unbalanced still, but I'm trying to get the hang of it! I think it's pretty good for the first time though. Oh, and at the end of the video I give my penguin kisses :) I didn't used to like him, I would see him and cry then crawl away. We are friends now.

Guess what I can do now?

Walk!!

I know, you are probably expecting pictures and videos of it but not yet. Mommy has some video but still needs to upload it... and it's weird, but she hasn't even taken pictures of me doing this!! I bet she'll be doing that tonight :)

I still like to crawl around, but I can walk, too now! I can walk up to about 15-20 steps at a time. I can walk from the couch over to my toys, and even up to the TV. Sometimes I still fall down, but I'm just learning. I can also walk between Miss Jennifer's 2 couches at daycare. Sometimes I will only take a few steps and fall dow, but I get right back up. And I will even walk between my toys and not just when somebody bribes me with a phone or remote control!

Oh another note, I'm also getting more teeth in and I have been a crabby butt. Mommy & Daddy can't complain too much, I could be worse, but my teeth that are coming in definitely hurt my mouth and make me sad. The past week I have been waking up about once at night crying. Then Mommy will get me and sit with me for a little bit and I'm fine, not crying. And then I'll fall asleep within the hour usually. Last night I didn't wake up so Mommy appreciated that :) I've been a crabby butt at daycare too - I'm sorry Miss Jennifer and Miss Ally!! I hope that my mouth stops hurting so I can be back to my normal non-fussy self ASAP!

But with the bad comes the good... I may be fussy from my teeth, but atleast I can walk now :)
